I’m one of the creators behind Sheets That Teach. After completing my master’s in Education of Exceptional Youth, I spent a year in Southeast Asia teaching students and training teachers to better support children with Autism.

When I returned to the U.S., I taught in self-contained classrooms - where I quickly discovered how often teachers are asked to provide detailed data without being given tools that truly fit their students’ IEPs or the demands from administration.

Like many educators, I was overwhelmed by making IEP data sheets from scratch, only to hear again and again that there “wasn’t enough data.” I wanted tools that could save time while also speaking for themselves -showing growth, highlighting needs, and giving teachers confidence in conversations with admin and families. That need sparked the idea for Sheets That Teach.

Partnering with Laura has allowed us to turn that idea into something real: resources that simplify data collection, strengthen communication, and ultimately help teachers and families advocate for what students need most.

Like many neurodiverse adults, I’ve faced challenges with focus, organization, and mental health. To make daily life feel less overwhelming, I started designing Google Sheets tools to track habits, plan routines, and turn big goals into manageable steps. What began as a way to support myself quickly grew into a passion for helping others feel more capable and in control.

I am so grateful to collaborate with Annemarie, whose years of teaching and advocacy experience give her such a deep understanding of what families and educators need most. Together, we combine her expertise in supporting students and families with my love for building practical tools, creating resources that not only keep people organized but also promote inclusivity and accessibility in education.
